Richard E. Robbins is an American film director and producer. He is well known for his work on numerous documentaries and films, including the critically acclaimed documentaries "Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience", "Girl Rising", and "Some Kind of Spark". Robbins has won multiple awards for his work, including an Emmy for "Operation Homecoming" and the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival for "Girl Rising". He is known for his commitment to social justice issues and has focused much of his work on highlighting the experiences of marginalized communities. In addition to his film work, Robbins has also written extensively on the film industry and produced numerous stage productions.
